1. About These Terms
1.1 Who these Terms apply to
These Terms apply to consumers who purchase private mentoring, coaching, consulting or related services from Karen Strunks.
For the purposes of these Terms, “you” means the person purchasing the service and “I”, “me” and “my” mean Karen Strunks.
1.2 Age requirement
You must be at least 18 years old to purchase my services.
2. My Services
I currently offer private services including, but not limited to:
- Clarity Session – 60 minutes
- Divine CEO VIP Calling Intensive – 3 hours
- Divine CEO Full-Day VIP Intensive – 6 hours
The current price, duration and description of each service will be displayed on my website and/or booking page before you purchase.
I may introduce additional services in the future.
2.1 What my services provide
My services are designed to provide mentoring, coaching, strategic thinking, guidance, reflection, clarity and practical support.
The exact content of a session will depend on your circumstances, the service purchased and the matters discussed during the session.
2.2 No guaranteed outcome
I will provide my services with reasonable care and skill.
However, mentoring and coaching are collaborative services. I cannot guarantee any particular personal, business, financial, career or other outcome.
Any examples, testimonials or descriptions of possible results are illustrative and are not guarantees of what you will achieve.
You remain responsible for your own decisions, actions and results.
2.3 Not professional advice
My services are not a substitute for regulated professional advice.
Nothing provided during a mentoring or coaching session should be understood as legal, medical, financial, accounting, therapeutic or other regulated professional advice.
Where appropriate, you should seek advice from a suitably qualified professional.
3. Booking and Formation of the Contract
3.1 Booking
Bookings for private sessions are made through my booking system, currently TidyCal.
When you select a service, choose an available appointment and complete the booking and payment process, you are making an offer to purchase that service.
3.2 Confirmation
Your booking is confirmed when you receive confirmation of your booking.
The booking confirmation will contain the relevant details of your appointment, including the date, time and joining information where applicable.
3.3 Your responsibility
You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide when booking is accurate, including your name, email address and any information required to deliver the service.
4. Prices and Payment
4.1 Prices
The price payable is the price displayed at the time you make your booking.
Prices may be displayed in USD ($) or GBP (£) unless otherwise stated.
4.2 Payment
Payment for private sessions is made through the payment method offered through the booking system, currently PayPal.
Payment must be made in full at the time of booking unless a different payment arrangement has been expressly agreed in writing.
4.3 Payment confirmation
Your payment confirmation and booking confirmation will provide a record of your purchase.
5. Your Right to Cancel
Because services purchased online may constitute distance contracts, statutory consumer cancellation rights may apply.
5.1 14-day cancellation period
Where applicable, you have the legal right to cancel your contract within 14 days of entering into the contract, without giving a reason.
This is a legal right provided by consumer law and is separate from the cancellation and rescheduling arrangements I set out below for booked appointments.
5.2 Services requested to begin within the 14-day period
If you ask me to provide the service before the end of the 14-day cancellation period, the service may begin during that period.
Where you make such a request and then exercise your statutory cancellation right after the service has begun, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for the service provided up to the point at which you cancel.
If the service has been fully performed during the cancellation period following your express request and the required acknowledgement, your statutory right to cancel may end.
5.3 How to cancel
To exercise a statutory cancellation right, you must clearly tell me that you wish to cancel.
You can do this by email:
You may use the model cancellation wording at the end of these Terms, but you do not have to use that exact wording.
5.4 Refunds following statutory cancellation
Where you are legally entitled to a refund following cancellation, I will make the refund within the period required by law and, where applicable, using the same payment method you used to make the original payment.
6. Cancellation and Rescheduling After the Statutory Cancellation Period
Once any statutory cancellation period has expired, the following cancellation and rescheduling policy applies, subject always to your statutory rights.
6.1 Cancellation with at least 24 hours’ notice
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please give at least 24 hours’ notice.
Where at least 24 hours’ notice is provided, I will normally offer the opportunity to reschedule your session to another mutually agreed date, subject to availability.
A cancellation does not automatically entitle you to a refund once the statutory cancellation period has expired.
6.2 Cancellation with less than 24 hours’ notice
If you cancel less than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment, the session will normally be treated as non-refundable and non-transferable.
This is because the appointment time has been reserved exclusively for you and it may not be possible for me to offer that time to another client.
I may, at my discretion, offer a rescheduled appointment in exceptional circumstances, but this is not guaranteed.
6.3 Missed appointments
If you do not attend your scheduled session and have not contacted me in advance, the session will normally be treated as a missed appointment and will not be refundable or transferable.
I may exercise discretion where exceptional circumstances arise.
6.4 Rescheduling
Where rescheduling is offered, the new appointment will be subject to my availability and must be arranged with me.
A rescheduled appointment cannot be exchanged for a refund simply because the client subsequently decides not to attend.
7. If I Need to Cancel or Reschedule
I will make reasonable efforts to provide your service at the agreed date and time.
If I need to cancel or reschedule because of illness, emergency, technical problems or circumstances beyond my reasonable control, I will contact you as soon as reasonably practicable.
Where I am unable to provide the service and you do not wish to reschedule, I will provide an appropriate refund.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer law.
8. Technical Requirements
Private sessions may be delivered online using Google Meet or another online meeting platform specified at the time of booking.
You are responsible for having:
- a suitable internet connection;
- a compatible device;
- working audio and, where appropriate, video; and
- a suitable private environment in which to participate.
If a technical problem prevents the session from taking place, we will make reasonable efforts to resolve the issue or rearrange the session where appropriate.
9. Confidentiality and Privacy
I will treat information you share with me during a private mentoring session as confidential, subject to circumstances where disclosure is required by law or where disclosure is otherwise necessary to protect someone’s safety or legal rights.
Your personal information will be handled in accordance with my Privacy Policy.
10. Intellectual Property
All materials, documents, frameworks, written resources, recordings, graphics, exercises and other content provided by me remain my intellectual property unless expressly stated otherwise.
You may use materials provided to you for your own personal use.
You must not reproduce, publish, distribute, resell, licence or commercially exploit my materials without my prior written permission.
11. Your Responsibility
You acknowledge that you are responsible for your own decisions and actions arising from or following a mentoring session.
You should consider any guidance provided in the context of your own circumstances and seek appropriate professional advice where necessary.
12. My Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Subject to this, I will not be responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable at the time the contract was formed.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
13. Complaints
I want you to have a positive experience.
If you are unhappy with any aspect of the service, please contact me as soon as reasonably possible at:
Please explain what has happened and what you believe would reasonably resolve the matter.
I will consider your complaint and respond within a reasonable period.
14. Changes to These Terms
I may update these Terms from time to time.
The Terms that apply to your purchase are the Terms that were available and applicable when you entered into the contract, unless a change is required by law or otherwise agreed with you.
15. Events Outside My Reasonable Control
I will not be responsible for failure or delay in providing a service where this is caused by circumstances beyond my reasonable control.
Where such circumstances affect your booked session, I will make reasonable efforts to contact you and rearrange the session or provide an appropriate refund where I am unable to provide it.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms affects any mandatory rights you may have under the law applicable to you.
17. Agreement
By purchasing a service from Karen Strunks, you confirm that you have had an opportunity to read these Terms & Conditions and understand that they form part of the contract between you and me.
Your statutory consumer rights are not affected by these Terms.
