I’m giving up.
I’m giving up worry; That my dreams wont’ come true. That my goals are too big and will never happen. That I’ll never be satisfied about money or the number of clients I have. That time is passing and I’m not where I want to be yet.
I’m giving up the stress.
I’m giving up the frustration.
I’m giving up being fearful.
I’m giving it ALL UP!
I’m done with it. I’m sick of carrying that load around with me. I’m angry that I’ve allowed these things feelings to become chains that I carry with me like some sort of entrepreneurial martyr.
These things can creep up on you if you don’t keep them in check. And you get used to the weight of them. Bit by bit, day by day they all add up.
It’s draining. It DRAINS all the good energy out of you.
I’m SURRENDERING the lot of it!
Oprah Winfrey talks of surrendering in this video. She talks about how much she wanted a part in the film The Colour Purple. I remember watching this a few years ago, now I can relate.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m NOT leaving my future to fate. I’m still going to be playing an extremely active part in reaching my goals and dreams. But I’m dropping all the negative feelings around them. I’m releasing them. They can go to hell.
I remember speaking to someone about worry and about it being an underlying feeling that I’d been living with every day. It’s like a constant buzz of a bee. Or like tinnitus. I couldn’t drown it out.
“Well, stop worrying!”, she said.
“BUT HOW?!”, I replied.
She didn’t have an answer for me.
And I continued to worry and get frustrated.
And I’m not sure I can show YOU how to give these thing up. I can only tell you what’s worked for me. And it comes down to a choice and a DECISION. You tell yourself…
That’s it. I’m DONE. I’m going to pursue my goals. Give it my ALL and I’m going to do it WITHOUT FEAR/WORRY/FRUSTRATION/ETC.
And then you simply get on with being you, going for your goals, building your business, reaching for your dreams, having FUN and taking ACTION every day.
Fantastic job on a blog post in 30 minutes. I will get mine out the door as well. Thanks for the inspiration.
Thanks Phil. Great you could take part! Let me know when your post is up! 🙂
