Protect Your Peace: Creating a Sovereign Space No One Can Invade
There is a moment in every woman’s life where she realises something very important:
Her energy is not infinite.
Her time is sacred.
And her purpose is not up for negotiation.
I’ve been sitting with this deeply over the past few days.
After writing recently about boundaries and learning to say no truly no, without explanation, guilt, or softening, something interesting happened.
Almost IMMEDIATELY, my boundaries were tested. Not once. Not twice. But repeatedly!
Three different situations.
Three different people.
Each one pushing.
Prodding.
Overreaching.
One of them attempting to breach my boundary to the degree that I found it genuinely disturbing. 😠
And that’s when the lesson hit me!
When you decide to rise into greater focus, discipline, obedience, creativity, and clarity, expect resistance. Expect testing.
Not because you’re doing something WRONG… But because you’re doing something RIGHT.
Boundaries Are Spiritual
I think there is a misunderstanding about boundaries. People see them as a preference.
They’re not.
Boundaries are about stewardship.
Stewardship of your mind.
Your nervous system.
Your calling.
Your God‑given assignment.
When you say yes to everything, you quietly say no to the very thing you were created to do.
And here’s the part that a lot of people don’t like to hear:
Other people do not automatically respect your boundaries.
They reveal who they are by how they respond to them.
Some will adjust.
Some will disappear.
Some will push harder.
And that’s where consequences come in.
⚠️ A boundary without consequences is not a boundary, it simply a suggestion.
It’s time to create a sovereign space.
I’ve come to see peace not as something passive, but something fiercely protected. ⚔️
A sovereign space.
A sealed space.
A space where it is just: You. God. And the work you are called to do.
No intrusion.
No constant access.
No emotional siphoning.
No demands disguised as needs.
Because whether people realise it or not, many will try to draw from your life force. A second here. A minute there. A day. A season.
And if you’re not intentional, it adds up. ⏱️
Your peace leaks.
Your energy drains.
Your focus fragments.
Until one day you wonder why you feel exhausted, disconnected, or creatively blocked. (As soon as I had dealt with these boundary pushers I had a huge surge of creative energy come in!)
Protecting your peace is not selfish. It is essential.
You WILL be tested.
Here’s something I want you to be prepared for:
The moment you raise your standard, the tests come.
Not to defeat you, but to confirm whether you mean what you say.
I felt it clearly this week.
It felt like a spiritual battle. And yet, I held the line. 💪
I didn’t explain.
I didn’t justify.
I didn’t collapse the boundary to keep the peace.
And the result?
My system calmed down.
My energy returned.
My creativity flowed. ❤️
I had the bandwidth to create, to give, to bless someone else – not from depletion, but from overflow.
That’s the fruit of firm boundaries.

No one has the right to command you.
No one has the right to demand your access.
No one is entitled to your time, attention, or emotions.
Your life is sacred.
Your purpose is sacred.
And anything, or anyone, that repeatedly tries to rob you of peace must be met with clarity, firmness, and absolute resolve.
